Flight of the Conchords has become one of the biggest TV cult hits of recent years
with fans captivated by its combination of sharp musical parodies and a wry comic take
on the music industry. Now Flight of the Conchords - comedians/musicians Bret McKenzie
and Jemaine Clement - will release their self-titled debut album on May 12th on Warner
Bros. Records / Sub Pop.
The album features fourteen fully realised versions of favourite songs from the TV show including 'Business Time', 'Hiphopopotamus vs. Rhymenoceros', 'Think About It' and 'The Most Beautiful Girl (In The Room)'. The set also delivers cleverly crafted pastiches of the Pet Shop Boys ('Inner City Pressure'), Shabba Ranks ('Boom') and David Bowie ('Bowie').
